Welcome to the City of Overland’s Summer Day Camp Program. Our main objective is to provide each camper with a positive camp experience by offering activities that encourage social interaction, cooperation with peers, and productive adult/child contact. Listed are some of the Top Ten Reasons why camp is important for children and what your child can expect out of our camp:

June 16 – July 25, 2014     Duration: Six (6) Weeks

Times: Summer Day Camp 9 am – 3pm,    After Camp Care till 5:30pm

Ages: Campers 6-12 yrs. old                Jr. Counselors: 13-15 yrs. old     

Max Limit of Kids: 12 Jr counselors and 113 Campers

  • Mort Jacobs Park and/or Buder Elementary: Mon-Fri       St. Ann Pool: T-R               
  • Inclement Weather Days: Buder Elementary.

  • First week and last week of camp will not have field trips.
  • Four (4) field trips will be chosen, which could be subject to change.
  • Field Trip Locations will be announced by May 1st.
  • Past Field Trips have included: Humane Society of St. Louis, Chevy's Mexican Restaurant at the Mills, City of Des Peres Outdoor Water Park, and the St. Louis City Museum, Zoo, Ice Skating at the Mills, Cosmic Bowling, Aquaport, Cold Stone Creamery, Myseum, Glazed and Confused, Wapelhorst Water Park, Missouri Botanical Gardens, and etc.

Residency Open To:

  • Families who reside within the Ritenour School District (A Current Occupancy Permit with the child’s/children’s name(s) listed on it will be required at the time of registration.)

The After Camp Program session runs from June 16 – July 25, 2014 (except July 4th) and is open from 3 pm till 5:30 pm, Monday thru Friday. Spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis. THIS SERVICE IS PREPAID AND PAYMENT SHOULD BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OF EACH WEEK.

The After Camp Care Program fee is $30 per camper each week as an Overland Resident or $35 per camper each week as an Non-Overland Resident that resides in the Ritenour School District. This charge does not include a beverage or a snack. There is no fee pro-ration.

  • Campers (6-12 yrs. old)
      • Overland Residents: $200/child, for entire Program
      • Non-Overland Residents: $300/child, for entire Program
  • Jr. Counselors (13-15 yrs. old)
      • Overland Residents: $100/ teen, for entire Program
      • Non-Overland Residents: $150/teen, for entire Program
  • After Camp Care
      • Overland Residents: $30 per child per week
      • Non-Overland Residents: $35 per child per week
  • Offering 50% Non-Refunable Payment down with a completed camp registration form (attachments included) to save child's spot in camp. All remaining camp registration fees are due by June 2nd. (Please note the Community Center will be closed on May 25 & 26 in observance of Memorial Day.)

  1. A Copy of your Current Occupancy Permit that lists your child on it
  2. A Copy of each child’s current shot records.(Note: we cannot use the one’s from the previous year of camp)
  3. Verification of Health Insurance.
  4. A Completed Camp Registration Form with Payment.

Parent Manuals: Parent Manuals will be given to each parent (1 per household) after camp registration is completed. If families would like to look at the manual prior to registration, it is available online starting April 8, 2014.

April 8           Camp Registration Forms available at the Overland Com. Center & Overland

April 14         Camp Registration opens to Ritenour School District families w/current 
                          Occupancy  Permits

June 2            All Remaining Balances for Camp Registration are due

June 11 & 12     Mandatory Parent Orientation Night at 7 p.m. at the Overland Com. Center 
Attend 1 night only)

June 14             Camp Registration Closes.   

June 7              OBA BLOCK PARTY is being held this year on June 7th from 11 am – 7 pm at
                           the Overland Market Area. Visit the Kids Area and enjoy fun games, music, 
                           and food.

June 16           Opening day of Overland Summer Day Camp Program. Camp Itinerary’s for the
                                    upcoming week will be available to Parents every Friday to be picked up at the end of the
                                    camp day
