City of Overland Fall Clean-up:
It’s clean up time and the City of Overland is here to help its fellow residents with the Annual Fall Clean Up! This event is open to all Overland residents and an Overland identification will be required to par-take in this event. There is a limit of one (1) vehicle per family (sorry no box trucks allowed). The "Fall Clean Up" will begin on Saturday October 18, 2014 from 8 am - Noon at Legion Park (On West Milton, behind Legion Park).
Items that will be accepted are the following: scrap iron or steel, brush and tree limbs, appliances, and small junk items. Some items that will NOT be accepted are the following: electronics, hazardous materials and car parts. Trolling for Trash will be available for those who are disabled and need help, but sign up early because spaces are limited. Volunteers are needed to help with this event. Kids Halloween Party:
Fall Arts & Craft Fair Flyer and Application
Mark your calendars, put on your costume and join us for a fun spooky night with all your friends. We will have costume contests by age groups, pizza and a drink for the kids, scavenger hunt, games and prizes, and candy! This is a free, safe, indoor trick-or-treating event open to children ages 2 to 12 of Overland Residents, Overland Business Owners, and City of Overland Employees and their families. Parents are required to accompany their children for the entire duration of their stay. Registration will start on October 1, 2014 and will run until October 17th, or until the maximum number has been registered. This event will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 in the gymnasium at the Overland Community Center from 6-8 pm, with check in time between 5:45 – 6:45 p.m. only. All participants must be in costume and donate at least one can food item to enter the event. Register on Oct. 1 and be one of the first 175 overland kids entered into this year’s extraordinary Kids Halloween Party. *Flyers are now available at the Overland Community Center!*
Join the North Central hobbies and the City of Overland for the Annual Hay Ride Event this November as we say goodbye to the “fall” season for the year. Grab the family, your friends, and fellow neighbors to stop by on Sunday November 2, 2014 from 2:30-7:30 pm at Wild Acres Park, located at 2500 Ashby Road, Overland, MO 63114. Admittance is open to the public for $3.00 per person, which includes the hayride, a pony ride, a hot dog, a drink, smores, and cider. Live music performance provided by the famous Brandon Salter. City of Overland Fall Arts and Craft Fair:
Sponsored by the Overland Community Center, this event will be held on Nov. 22, 2014 at the Overland Community Center located at 9225 Lackland Road, St Louis, MO 63114 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This fall craft fair will feature hand-made items or items of a craft nature. A food concession will be available to customers and all vendors between the hours of 11:30 am and 2:00 pm. Vendor applications are available at the Overland Community Center. Residents of Overland may start registering on September 23, 2014 and all Non-Overland Residents may start registering on October 7, 2014. The registration deadline is Nov. 20, 2014 and the cost for the first table, whether it is one 8 foot rectangular table or one 60" round table with 2 chairs, is $30. Any additional table after the purchase of the first table is $10 at table or you can save and buy 4 tables for $50.00 for the same vendor. The Overland Farmer's Market, located on the 2500 block of Woodson Road, will be open from 8 am - 12:30 pm every Saturday in the months of May thru October 25th, 2014.
