Norman Myers Park: 8700 Midland Blvd.
We are thrilled to announce that renovations are underway to enhance your park experience. While we work to bring you an even better outdoor space, please pardon our appearance and any inconvenience you may encounter. Here's what you need to know while visiting within the park:
Park Amenities:
This 7 acres park features 2 unlit Baseball Fields, a Playground, Picnic Areas, 1 large Pavilion with electricity (seating up to 80 people max), a walking track, a Bike Rack, Barbeque Pits, and Restroom Facilities. The track is approximately 1/3 of a mile.

*Use of the Athletic Fields for practices and games requires an Athletic Field Permit through the City. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Dept. at 314-428-0490 for more information.
*In November 2024 the City was awarded a Park Grant from the Municipal Park Grant Commission of St Louis County in the amount of $465,000. The City of Overland, Missouri is proposing construction and renovation improvements for the restrooms at Norman Myers Park and the Verona Pavilion. This initiative seeks to enhance two popular park locations that facilitate a range of recreational activities and community events.
The proposed construction and renovation for this park includes:
**Norman Myers Park**: Removal of existing paving, replacement of concrete paving, installation of a new ramp and sidewalks, roof repairs including installation of a new standing seam roof and aluminum vented soffits. Interior work includes demolition, construction of new restrooms, raising the masonry opening to the storage area, replacing windows with sliding models, and adding hollow metal doors with automatic openers. New light fixtures and power will be installed, along with the removal of a service sink and furnace.
The City’s commitment to renovating and constructing restrooms at Norman Myers Park and Verona Pavilion demonstrates our dedication to improving our facilities to promote diverse recreational opportunities within our parks.
Construction for this project will commence in August 2025 and it is estimated to be completed by June 30, 2026.

During Renovations, Please Note:
- Certain areas may be temporarily closed for safety reasons.
- Construction equipment and personnel will be present.
- Access routes and parking arrangements may be adjusted.
- Pavilion use may be limited to facility rentals only with a valid permit from the City of Overland Parks & Recreation Dept.
- Portable restrooms will be onsite at each location for public use. Please plan accordingly and bring hand sanitizer between August - October 2025.

This Park is open to the public from one-half (1/2) hour before sunrise to one-half (1/2) hour after sunset daily. It shall be unlawful for any person or vehicle to use any City Park prior to or after the hours established for public use, except in cases where a Park Reservation Permit or Field Permit has been issued by the Director of Parks and Recreation
There is no overnight parking or camping at any of the City Parks. City of Overland Parks can close, without notice, due to weather conditions, maintenance, and/or reconstruction.
No person shall park any vehicle upon parking surfaces located in any City Park at any time unless such parking is in connection with some other immediate and lawful use of the park by the operator of said vehicle or its passengers. Nothing in this Section shall be construed so as to prohibit the use of said parking facilities at any time by emergency vehicles or municipal vehicles of the City of Overland, nor shall any provision hereof be so construed as to prohibit the parking of a vehicle in the City Park while the driver remains in attendance at said vehicle. (City Ord. Sec. 355.180)
All motorized vehicles must remain in the parking lots and are not allowed on any off-road areas such as park pathways, grass, fields, etc.
Any person who violates the provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
